Adventures in Philly

This past weekend was the Philly Home Show at the Convention Center.  I joined forces with Evey from Evey’s Creations – we “workshopped” our little hearts out and had a ball doing it. It was so fun telling everyone about the benefits of plywood construction using Pure Bond, showing them how easy it can be to tile with Aspect, make stencils and vinyl cutouts with Cricut and let them try their hand at milk paint with the Original Milk Paint Co.

We even managed to get ourselves on television! Cherri Gregg of CBS 3 interviewed us about our wine balancer workshop and then we got to play with table decor on air. We got to chat with Matt Muenster of HGTVs Bath Crashers and meet some fantastic people in our classes and working at the show itself.

Our hotel was fantastic! We stayed at the Hilton Garden Center right across the street from the Convention Center. I couldn’t believe how incredibly helpful and responsive the staff were- any question was answered with a smile and any request fulfilled immediately. I am still a little stunned (in a good way of course). I realized after I got there I completely forgot my empty wine bottles… I asked the bartender for a few at the end of the night and he gave me a pile of them (I put a photo on Instagram).

Here are some fun photos of our adventures:

What do you think? We had an absolute blast! We came home exhausted and happy and ready to take on the next show!

A hearty thank you again to Pure Bond, Aspect tiles, Cricut, and Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co for working with us and sponsoring our adventure! We hope you will try out their products and let either of us know if you have any questions about them- we love to help!

XO!
