Been wondering where I’ve been? Well, I’ve been completely swamped with work… which is a good place to be and I am so very grateful. Here’s a bit of a taste:
Yesterday I was able to move into my retail space at On a Whim. It was an insane day and by the time I got there at 4 (she closes at 5), I was able to throw everything into the space and run out…to come back this morning (at exactly 10AM for one hour before I had to bolt to pick up Gracie at school- life feels INSANE these days) to arrange a bit. Thank heavens she hires strong young men to help load and move things on Thursdays. I can’t imagine running around begging friends to help me move furniture. Fairly certain I wouldn’t get many takers….
Did you want to see? Here are some photos:
Here is the fabulous blue dresser. I’ll be SO sad to see it sold, though excited because it means someone loves it!
I mixed the deep purple color of this Art Deco Vanity myself using three Annie Sloan Chalk Paint shades (rather proud of it, in case you can’t tell). I’m trying to figure out what to name it. Any suggestions?
I have also been working on the buffet and dining set I stripped the veneer from with an iron and pillow case:
I think it came out pretty well! If you’re interested, the how to is here. I finished the table and am working on the other five chairs. It’s coming soon though.
This weekend I am finishing up the table and chairs for my decorator friend. She has an event next week and is ready for her dining set to be done. I’m so grateful for her patience and support as I got all of this finished up (for the most part).
I need to work on finding some little things for my space. What kinds of things do you think I should be looking out for? I have a source for some incredible candles I plan on introducing soon.
Check out my facebook page for all the latest too… I don’t always get to cross-post here. https://www.facebook.com/SavedByScottie
Have a wonderful weekend!! If you feel like stopping by- please do! I’ll hand you a paintbrush. 🙂
