Furniture re-dos Makeovers Shabby Paints

Inspired by Levi’s

Today’s post is a quick one, but I am really quite proud of this Levi’s inspired table and need to show it off.

My favorite client handed me a table with this statement- “it’s for my grandson, do you think it needs a shelf? Have fun.”

SxS Levi's before

It sat in my workshop for a while until one day I looked at it in the right light, at the right angle and saw it… doesn’t that side piece look like something…. did you see it too?

I hope the folks over at Levi’s jeans aren’t offended, though I think my client’s grandson’s going to love it… how about you?

(for those who want to know about the process, I used Shabby Paints Baby Boo for a base coat, Marine Blue for the top coat and distressed to the under coat. Then I used an artist brush to make the stitches with Cali Taupe and put VAX over the whole thing. The top, feet, and shelf were stained with a combination of sheer, hazelnut and black reVAX.) I’ll have to put together a denim paint tutorial at some point. You can do so may fun things with this look!

I was even honored to have been asked to display this in a local art show. My client was gracious enough to delay receiving it until the show was over. I am so blessed to work with some of the most wonderful people!

I have other “Inspiration” pieces: whimsical and reclaimed coffee station.

XO!

Lo-oooove how you funk-ified this table. I think Levi Jeans will be flattered.
