Today’s post has nothing to do with DIY…. You won’t believe me when you see the photo… though it’s the truth. It’s been quite an adventure around here in the last few days… and it’s so ridiculous, I have to share since I am fairly confident you probably won’t believe me.
Friday was a busy day.. lots of cleaning, prepping for the weekend, and trying to finish up some custom work. In my rush to keep moving, and after requesting things be hung up several times… I stepped over a child’s coat left on the steps while I was heading down and….well… I didn’t quite make it all the way over it. Slipped down the last three to four steps and banged my elbow… hard. Just as my oldest walked in the door from school.
Waited around a few hours to see if the pain died down… it didn’t.. so off to Urgent care I went. Few X-rays later it was determined my elbow was NOT broken (thank heavens for small miracles) and with a horrid sling and prescription pain killers (that I most likely won’t take) I was on my way…
Fast forward to yesterday- on a “picking adventure” with the whole family. My dear husband and I decided lunch was in order prior to the stop as small children tend to be a bit… how do you say ANNOYING if hungry. To pass the time waiting for food, we started to play “eye spy”. The youngest decided to make it “full contact” eye Spy… and scratched my cornea.
So that’s my story… and here is my picture:
Arghh…. Ahoy ‘matey!Missing a hook and peg leg… Since these things come in threes I wonder what I’ll end up with today…?
…and of course I am smiling. It’s so ridiculous…. why wouldn’t I be?
What’s the craziest thing that’s ever happened to you?

March 24, 2014 at 10:04 PMI fell off a step ladder last summer and dislocated my pinky finger. It hurted. Mrs LarryD thought I had decapitated myself.
Then there was the time I went on a business dinner with a paintologist. That was totally cray cray.

March 24, 2014 at 10:40 PMI’m so sorry to hear about your finger and am happy to year it was only a minor injury- decapitation would have been far more serious.
Those Paintologists are a bit crazy I’ve been told- So glad you made it out of that one with your sanity intact.

March 25, 2014 at 10:21 PMThanks so much Heather! I’m actually all better now- back to my “normal” crazy self. Eyes heal quickly and the elbow is only bruised. Fun, fun!
