A few weeks ago I had a friend give me this little table.
I looked at it for a while and it popped in my head that it looks a lot like the detailed and etched silver platters on the wall of my dining room. I wanted that look of shiny but still a patina in spots. I started by securing the wobbly legs with glue and braces (which sounds SO much easier than it was) then sanding the top really smooth. I gave it a coat of Shabby Paints Americana, and hand drew a design with a very thin brush in Garfield Gray.
I sanded the design smooth with 400 grit sandpaper then added a coat of diluted Stunning Silver and topped the whole thing off with Black ReVAX.
Here she is in all her glory at the shop.
What do you think of the little silver table? I am certain she will find her new home soon.
XO!
